Value of Forecasts
Study the social value of environmental and climate forecasts, and how do forecasts as public goods impact people's daily decisions and welfare.
I am an Assistant Professor of the Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality (CNCC) Thrust, Society Hub of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). I work on projects related to climate adapatation (through forecasting, technology development, climate policy interventions) and climate mitigation (through nature-based climate solutions, energy transitions) in China and globally.
Before entering HKUST-Guangzhou, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability for Harvard University. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy in 2023. Before that, I was a research assistant for Climate Impact Lab at Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago. I have my MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
